You asked for it, so the Swamp Fox delivered it!
Here’s a breakdown of the contributions received by the campaign committees of Marion and Morrow county’s state legislators.
Keep in mind that both OH state senators and OH state representatives are currently paid an annual salary of $73,609.00.
Reineke, as the president pro tempore of the OH state senate, is paid $104,691.00.

These north central Ohio districts are strongly Republican and none of these candidates have ever experienced a serious challenge from a Democratic or third-party candidate. Several have, however, been challenged by grassroots Republicans in the primary.
With that in mind, it begs the question: why does the Republican Party pump sooo much money into the campaigns of Republican candidates who are almost assured of victory by the mere fact that they have an “R” by their names on the ballot?
Is it a harmless gesture of goodwill and confidence? Or is it given with the expectation that they toe the line for the party masters (and its donors) once they’re elected?
And believe me, this isn’t a partisan thing. The Dems do it too.
That’s just politics in America, folks.
