A high-level narcotics operation that funneled dangerous drugs from the West Coast into the heart of Marion has been shut down.
Tommy Lee Owens, 35, was sentenced by Judge Matthew P. Frericks to an aggregate prison term of 27 to 32.5 years following his conviction for leading a multi-state drug trafficking organization.

The Current Conviction
The investigation, a joint effort between the MARMET and Delaware County Drug Task Forces, uncovered a sophisticated pipeline shipping narcotics from Los Angeles to an apartment on New Park Drive in Marion.
Owens was identified as a central figure in coordinating these UPS shipments.
Upon executing a search warrant at the residence, investigators recovered a staggering amount of narcotics:
- 107.04 grams of Fentanyl (statistically enough to cause 50,000 fatal overdoses)
- 447.3 grams of Methamphetamine
- 203.4 grams of Cocaine
- $10,000 in cash and detailed ledgers tracking local distribution
Identity & Law Enforcement History
While the name “Tommy Lee Owens” has appeared in regional court records over the years, this specific conviction belongs to the individual who topped the Marion County Sheriff’s “Most Wanted” list in 2024.
At trial, the jury found Owens guilty of Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a first-degree felony, alongside multiple high-level trafficking and possession charges.
His co-defendant, Manuel Allen, previously entered a guilty plea for his role in the New Park Drive operation.
