Marion Watch Silent Sabotage Research Prompts Mayor’s Request for Forensic IT AuditReading Mode

Marion Mayor Bill Collins has formally requested assistance from the Ohio Auditor of State to conduct a full forensic IT audit of the city’s computer systems.

The mayor’s request is based on extensive research compiled and submitted by us, Marionwatch.com Investigates. We have recommended the Forensic IT Audit be conducted from the installation of the New World software forward.

Our findings, drawn from “official audits and council minutes, and eye witnesses accounts,” detail significant IT and financial control weaknesses that have plagued Marion for decades.

We have also reported that these long-standing issues have “drastically worsened” following the city’s implementation of the New World software system.

This research was compiled by our team, which includes multiple teammates with highly specialized skill sets in law enforcement, finance, history, and information technology, amongst others.

A forensic IT audit involves a deep investigation of the city’s software and digital infrastructure to identify security flaws and data integrity issues. We await the State Auditor’s response to the mayor’s request.
