Written by In addition to putting the pressure on State Senator Bill Reineke (R-26th District), who represents both Morrow and Marion counties, and State Representatives Riordan McClain (R-87th District) and Tracy Richardson (86th District), be sure to put some sustained political pressure on the commissioners of Morrow and Marion counties between now and October to get them to stand up and fight against this proposed I-71 / US-23 connector highway.
Give them a call or shoot them an email! Tell them we need red hot activism–not lukewarm passivity! We need ACTION, not words!
Their homes may not be affected by this proposed highway, but they need to care just as much as if they were, since they’re supposed to represent YOU!
The Morrow County Commissioners meet every Monday and Wednesday at 9 am at 80 N Walnut St in Mount Gilead.
The Marion County Commissioners meet every Tuesday at 8:30 am and every Thursday at 9 am at 222 W Center Street in Marion.
Attend a meeting and tell them how you feel about this issue and find out what they plan to do about it.
