ROB COWELL TO BE NAMED NEW DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY & SERVICE FOR CITY OF MARIONReading Mode

Following the recent resignation of the city’s Director of Public Service, Mike Bodine, and in an effort to save money and increase efficiency during this period of fiscal distress, the city’s Director of Public Safety, Rob Cowell, has been suggested for the appointment of the newly reconsolidated position of Director of Public Safety & Service.

As you can see from the attached organizational chart, Mr. Cowell will be the administrative director of most of the city’s departments, reporting directly to Marion’s mayor, Bill Collins.

According to the ordinance, which came out of the Municipal Services, Parks & Recreation Committee and will be presented to council this Monday, the new position will pay an annual salary of $115,000 and eligible for a 3% annual pay increase.
